Doser grinder with conical blades
Automatic grind cycle every 12 shots
Medium-high Volume Coffee Grinder
The Kony S is designed to enhance the aroma of your coffee. The distinctive Mazzer design spotlights precision-machined components and high-tech electronics. It’s equipped with 63mm conical burrs and operates at low speeds of 420 rpm @ 50Hz and 500 rpm @ 60Hz. Kony S features excellent dose consistency and a barista-friendly design. This is the ideal choice for medium- to high-volume cafes.
The automatic grinding cycle begins grinding every 12 doses and stops when the coffee doser chamber is full. This handy feature means you will never run out of freshly ground coffee during busy periods. The adjustable doser chamber segments ensure a more precise and repeatable coffee dose is delivered every time the lever is pulled.
Many people love the conical burrs and low RPM (rotations per minute) of the Mazzer Robur, but don’t have the same production needs to warrant the larger machine. The Kony fills this gap perfectly by offering the same low RPM (500) and a smaller conical burr set (63 mm compared to the Robur’s 71mm). The low RPM ensures the coffee is exposed to less heat and therefore holds its freshness longer. The conical burrs are preferred by many baristas for preserving full, complex flavours during the grinding process.

The conical burrs are made of hardened steel and, within the industry, are considered among the best currently available, making them more durable than many competitors. The innovative design makes them very easy to calibrate and even easier to clean, should you need to access the burrs themselves.
As with all Mazzer grinders, the infinite grind adjustment is more than capable of handling everything from a fine espresso to a coarse grind better suited to cafetieres. This has two main benefits – firstly, the machine is surprisingly quiet in operation as the motor spins more slowly than in less powerful grinders. Secondly, it generates far less heat. Grinder manufacturers are going to great lengths to reduce heat during grinding, as it can damage delicate flavours in some coffees. This isn’t a problem for the Kony, which delivers a perfect shot time after time.
